Idea name: BackTogether
Problem:
The event industry, including of course sport events, was particularly hit from the current crisis. Events were completely cancelled and even now that many sporting events are starting again, they do so behind closed doors, causing huge reduction in revenues for sports clubs, sport event organizers and so on. We have experienced this first hand, as we are a start up that is providing ticketing on events (https://cometogether.network).
Solution:
Restart events with audience, through a secure, private and scalable proof of immunity on block-chain, for people with antibodies (vaccinated or recovered).
As our business was particularly impacted, we were looking for ways to adapt to this new reality. Soon we realised that the technology we have built for event ticketing, can be used with small adaptations for immunity certificates, which in turn is the fastest route, to safely return back to the full spectrum of economic and social activity, including events. The added value of our ticketing solution, ComeTogether, is that it combats ticket fraud and scalping in events. Similar requirements exist for immunity certificates. They shouldn't be transferable or for sale and need to be tied to a specific citizen. This is why the certificates are delivered through ID document verification or facial recognition, hence uniquely tied to each citizen. Finally, the use of block-chain underlying technology: 1. ensures data security and along through encryption - data privacy,
2. ensures zero downtime,
3. enables transparency and saves the certificate from political implications, such as not trusting data from one health authority's server.
What's done: Progress on complying with the W3C Verifiable Credentials Data Model (https://www.w3.org/TR/vc-data-model/), for interoperability with other similar solutions.
